Loop and Scoop originally opened on Great Western Road, situated in the west end of Glasgow. However, in recent months a new branch has opened up in Bearsden, extending their clientele beyond their typical university students. It is the UK's first ever churro and ice cream bar which adds a unique touch. Their signature dish is the Loop and Scoop, consisting of, as the name suggests, a scoop of ice cream with a big loop shaped churro. In addition, they offer a variety of ice cream flavours (take home size tubs are also available) and different styles of churros ranging from churro bites to larger sizes with a side of sweet dips. Milkshakes are available which are made from their ice cream. Something that is particularly appealing about the shop is that they cater to various dietary requirements including a selection of tasty vegan ice cream flavours. 

Signature Loop & Scoop

Loop and Scoop is exceptionally distinguishable when either walking or driving along Great Western Road due to their stand out white and orange display signs and canopy's. Similarly their Bearsden branch follows this theme. When entering the shop you are greeted with a warm and inviting decor throughout, with a small seating area - the perfect spot to sit and enjoy something sweet. Often you will find yourself waiting in a very long queue, especially during the summer, but that just shows how good the ice cream really is! Depending on the season Loop and Scoop is decorated accordingly which adds to the charm.

I have been going to Loop and Scoop since it first opened and every time is just as good as the last - it is definitely a personal favourite. Most of the time I opt for their ice cream and change the flavours up (usually from biscoff to mint choc chip) but recently I've been really enjoying their vegan range and milkshakes. Another thing to add is that Loop and Scoop is doggy friendly, making it a great stop after a nice walk around Kelvingrove with your furry friends.
